Shift work rules for working overtime

Day Shift rules

1. Day Shift includes DS, OTD, FA, TR, LT. If person is on any of these activities, it is counted as Day Shift.
2. If person is OFF today and on DS tomorrow, person can work OTD.
3. If person was on NS yesterday and OFF today, person can work OTN.
4. If person was on NS two days ago and OFF yesterday and OFF tomorrow, person can work both OTD and OTN.
5. If person was on DS yesterday and NS today, person cannot work today.
6. If person was on DS yesterday and DS today, person cannot work today.
7. If person was on NS yesterday and NS today, person cannot work today.
8. If person was on NS yesterday and DS today, person cannot work today.

Night Shift rules

1. Night Shift includes NS and OTN. If person is on any of these activities, it is counted as Night Shift.
2. If person was on NS yesterday and OFF today, person can work OTN.
3. If person was on DS yesterday and NS today, person cannot work today.
4. If person was on DS yesterday and DS today, person cannot work today.
5. If person was on NS yesterday and NS today, person cannot work today.
6. If person was on NS yesterday and DS today, person cannot work today.

General queries

• What about OFF yesterday and OFF today?
• DS yesterday and OFF today?
• Should people available for OT come from only people on the current schedule?
• Display personal rosters per person? (Unique login required)
• Does anyone ever swap legs on a roster?
• Should OT on one roster count towards OT on another roster?
• Current configuration goes until 31/12/2040 - far enough?
• Don't understand the Relief roster
• Other statistics required, such as number of hours worked in a period? Important for Relief shifts?
